I've been going through the emails my mom sent me, most only go back to 2007.  I found this one that I had forgotten about.

I was going through the papers on the Milnes family tree and found a letter written by my grandfather in 1902 to his brother it said "Let me give you a bit of advice now. Always do every thing as well as you can. Always better than anybody else if you can. Never be afraid to tell of anything wrong and always have a mind of your own. Don't let anybody crow over you unless he is your master. Never be down hearted over anything. Always try again and you'll succeed at last. Keep a climbing as there is always lots of room at the top of tree. You can always find a seat there."

Who knew he could be so profound. Although he died when I was 11 so I really did not know him very well.

Just what I needed to hear, thanks mom.
